Auto Tweet This

I read a little gem of a post yesterday over at SPI called A Killer Combo for Smart Twitter Users.
You should head over there and check it out when you get a chance.
I must admit I am not a fan of Auto Tweeting.
Why?
Well, for starters Auto Tweets just feel empty and mechanical and Spammical.
Auto Tweets literally flood my Twitter Account. I have to sort through all the nonsense just to un-bury all the quality content and links that lie within.
I Read the Post and Took the Bait
After reading the post I thought it was a great idea. I immediately saw the potential for Internet Marketers and Engaging more with your Followers.
I still wasn’t convinced though. I will refuse the Auto Tweet, I swore to myself.
A Change of Mind
After pondering the All Mighty Auto Tweet and still refusing to go to The Dark Side. I sat there and thought about #2 and #3.
Hmm…?
These were the very solid and valid points backing up the Tweeting Autoness.
- #2 Engage Your Audience
- #3 Twittering Randomly Throughout the Day
Those were the two ideas that changed my Twitter Testament. Especially the Workflow and Productivity side of things. I also really need to engage more with my Awesome Twitter Followers.
Upside Down
Being on the other side of the planet makes it very difficult for me to Tweet and Reach my Followers.
Why?
No. It doesn’t have anything to do with the water going the other direction when it goes down the sink.
A little thing called time difference. It’s day time here when it’s night time over there. As it turns out most of my followers are on nearly the exact opposite time frame and opposite side of the planet as myself.
For me to engage directly with them would require me to Tweet Deep in the Middle of then Night. When the much needed Beauty Sleep is being Acquired.
Twitter is Great!

Twitter is a distraction for me though. I’m busting my tail trying to make this Passive Income Dream of mine a Reality.
To Tweet throughout the day for me is cut into my work time, work flow and productivity.
The Solution
I don’t want to be an empty, mechanical, cold, spammical Auto Tweeter.
One way around this is not to Auto Tweet all the time. Not even daily. I will only Auto Tweet a couple or a few times a week. You should also let your followers know that you Auto Tweet.
If you do choose this route be sure to login to Twitter at least once a day and reply to any mentions you might have received. It is very important to reply to anybody who has mentioned you and to do some promptly. At least within a 24 hour period.
While I am still very new to Twitter I have done that very thing on accident. Sorry guys!
Conclusion
My final thoughts are I will continue to use the technique discussed and Auto Tweet. I will do so sparingly though.
I am a human not an algorithm!
